At the heart of my practice are fantastical watercolour fountains — living, breathing structures that anchor the worlds I imagine. Through them I explore social, ethical and emotional systems, but with softness rather than control. These fountains are sensual, empathetic and welcoming: fertile totems of abundance that nourish the landscapes around them. They behave almost maternally, shaping habitats through care rather than authority.
My world-building grows organically and intuitively, wandering and open to detours. The fountains guide this process, offering a hopeful counterpoint to contemporary urban life: a gentle, utopian alternative where everything is sentient, interconnected and allowed to feel.
Made during my time at Sessions - a seven month support programme for visual artists.
