In Hanoi most foreigners live in a district called Tay Ho. Tay Ho District is known for housing Hanoi’s largest freshwater lake, called West Lake. It’s a huge body of water and there are plenty of historic places of interest, hotels, restaurants, cafes, and nightlife venues that are worth exploring along the shoreline. Naturally, many a foreigner can be found around the lake in this bustling city of Hanoi.
I wanted to create something that would celebrate the lifestyle and beauty of living by the lake in Hanoi and finally decided upon making these T-shirts which I called the Hanoi Lake-side Dweller Tees. I had two versions made. One with the green motorcycle inspired by the iconic Minsk on the front left breast and another with the yellow also iconic Honda Super Cub. Both have the same Hanoi design on the back featuring the turquoise lotus shaped fences that were erected a few months before I made the illustration. The fence can now be seen all around the lake.
I sold these via Facebook during the Christmas of 2018 and in the summer of 2019
